NorthCountryNow.com Redesigned Home Page Launches

Over the weekend we launched a new home page for North Country Now, an online service of Potsdam, NY based newspaper North Country This Week was launched.

The redesign goals were very specific and limited: to retain the feel of the old home page while providing a more user friendly experience for readers and advertisers.

In general user feedback has been positive. Let me know what you think.

LuckyChamp.com Launches to an Immediate Response

Over the weekend, we opened the LuckyChamp.com e-store for business. Sinclair Worldwide, Inc., the makers of Magikan, hired us to design and implement an e-commerce solution around ZenCart and Wordpress, and the new site began taking orders as soon as we enabled it.

The anchor product at LuckyChamp.com is a kitty litter disposal unit that helps cat owners greatly reduce the cat odor in their homes. Please check out the new site and let us know what you think of the solution.

UserVoice vs. Get Satisfaction

Recently, I wrote an article about UserVoice (www.uservoice.com), a user feedback collection tool. UserVoice helps business owners solicit improvements for a product or service and facilitates voting on those ideas. Business owners can prioritize changes based user feedback.

Today (via Twitter) I came across another service that’s almost identical. Get Satisfaction (getsatisfaction.com) adds some significant value by allowing users to search for and find your company through the website. It also has buy-in from some major corporations, which bodes well for its further development.

Have any of you used Get Satisfaction and/or UserVoice? What are your thoughts on the pros and cons of each service? What strategies work best for implementing either in a business?
