Display an RSS Feed on Your Web Site with Bigbold RSS Digest

RSS Digest provides a way to include RSS feeds on your web site that is easy enough for anyone with basic knowledge of HTML.
While searching for a way to include local weather conditions on a client’s web site, I stumbled across the NOAA Local Weather Conditions RSS Feed. Though this feed only contains current conditions, it seems that a full forecast may soon be released via RSS. Indeed it is already available as a beta version in XML. The NOAA has begun developing its own XML schema for delivering weather data and I will watch for any developments in this new technology and ways to use it effectively.
The principal value of this free weather information is that it is not loaded down with advertisements. As such any web site owner can include local conditions without feeling his or her web site has been overrun by another company. In addition, another free service, RSS Digest, allows any web site owner to parse an RSS feed and display it on a web page. This service allows you to edit a template that controls the feed’s display properties on your site. All the creator asks is that you provide a return link somewhere on your site.
Any comments regarding developments in the display of RSS weather feeds are welcome, especially regarding how to access forecasts without displaying unwanted advertisements on a web page.

I love Bigbold RSS too. I use it at my blog.

Bigbold RSS is certainly a simpler solution than any of the WordPress plugins I’ve used. The only real drawback to offsite RSS tools is that my site becomes dependent on their performance.
However, in cyberspace we are all interdependent whether we like it or not and Bigbold’s performance has been excellent.
